Since 2007 a group of ham friends in the Colombian Atlantic coast were talking about the necessity to find some way of promoting Contests, DXpeditions and DXing, activities which have become highly reduced in Colombia.
The result of those meetings and talkings was the creation of DXARC – DX Amateur Radio Club – a group of professionals in different areas with the intention to revive and support a hobby whose principle values are communication, brotherhood and good manners. The mission of the Club and its activities is to join radio hams from Colombia and the world under one umbrella to fully exploit radio contact to strengthen and expand our global friendship.
First task has been the construction of Jumanji Antenna Farm, a contests station never viewed before in Colombia, with the target of becoming a very important member of the best contest stations in the world.
This site is already in its first stage of operation, with 5 bands, each with its own operating desk and antenna stacks, as the basic contest and Dxing site for members of DXARC.
DXARC is a club of friends aiming at one and same target….
